Robb Banks - 2Phoneshawty (EP) & No Trespassing (Collab EP with Chris Travis)

Miami native Robb Bank$ quietly dropped some heat this week - but both projects are anything but quiet.

After a few months of being relatively under the radar, 2PHONESHAWTY immediately throws himself back in the spotlight with a solo mixtape (2phoneshawty) and an EP with Memphian Waterboyz member Chris Travis (No Trespassing).

With an intro that lets you know exactly where Bank$ comes from (just in case you forgot), 2phoneshawty boasts the same unrelenting flow that you would expect from the young hip-hop antagonist over dark percussion-heavy beats. The tracks fluctuate between intense hard-hitting trap joints where he recklessly attacks your ears and constantly reminds you that he isn't someone to fuck with, and slower leaned-out tunes that, while soothing, relay that same message to similar effect.

No Trespassing is Bank$ and Travis's first collaborative project - a collection of 5 tracks including two (Adlib & Solid) that they put out in December and February, respectively.

"Still that nigga
Still dead resurrected
It's the best nigga past or present
"

The chemistry between the two is instantly clear as Bank$'s angry yet lowkey delivery is contrasted by Travis's hypnotic higher-pitched reverb-heavy vocals. The baton goes back and forth as they ride the 808s with a smoothness reminiscent of Eightball & MJG. That classic southern flow dives deep into the dark synthy atmosphere that they've created - a place where they're just as likely to hype you up as they are to chill you the fuck out.

Both projects are available for free download so long as you tweet about them through PayWithATweet, a simple promotion feature that definitely needs to gain more traction in the realm of music.
