Black Zheep DZ - 8th World (Mixtape)

Since the release of his last project 'Refugee', Baltimore stand out Black Zheep DZ has been making waves, with tracks like 'Yesterday', "Whachu Sayin' and the recent  'Big Bank Rolls' Video he has solidified himself as one of the top up and comers in the area.

"There's 7 Wonders of the World. An 8th wonder was always a question to people. I feel like my mind state and where I'm from (Baltimore, MD) is that 8th wonder that people don't get to see that often. My creation is a thing in it's own, which I like to call "8th World".
What you hear is what it is, man. Just some good ol' stories told on good ol' production, good ol' vibes, good influences, bad influences and all of what you can ask for from a nigga coming from East Baltimore, but has seen more than just that. Its just me. I put my thoughts, personality, my hometown, places I been and experiences into this project.
I also had some great features from my homie and ace from VA, D.R.A.M. and Baltimore-based singer, Chrissy Vasquez, along with some cool ass bonuses. Enjoy."

As fall rolls in and summer come to a close the artist Fifty Grand, associated with the likes of the rapper Bones collective TeamSesh and is in the realm of Spooky Black has been gaining notoriety. Enough notoriety in fact, to capture the attention of FADER magazine for an interview and their final summer mix of 2014. Some may describe his music as scary, looming, or the process of emanate death, tragic even. He, himself has stated that his best music comes out a place of pain, and intense emotions and is sonically displayed quite beautifully in this mix. The samples used paints the very picture of rage, beauty and evil. You can check out the full length interview here

Butch Dawson - Lower Mercury (Album)

Since my time back in the area there are few artists I have enjoyed listening to more then Baltimore native, 7th Floor Villain & Llamadon OG Butch Dawson. His smooth flows and hypnotic production are on display in his newest project 'Lower Mercury' which I feel does a great job at displaying Butch's range and growth as an artist. Whether your listening to the hard hitting 'Yung', the unique to say the least 'Red Leather Chair', the smooth 'Loser Machine' or the dark 'Pistol Pete' which makes me reminisce about the glory days of The Cool Kids, Butch does not disappoint. This tape is a must listen, especially if you are fond of the DMV music scene, stream it above or download it below.
